Important:

The following guidelines apply only to Final Expense Live Transfer campaigns. A copy of these guidelines will also be sent to your email address.

Final Expense Live Transfer Guidelines

1. Call Handling

Please do not disconnect calls without a valid reason. Calls disconnected without an approved reason may be considered billable, even when they are still within the buffer period.

A call may be disconnected during the buffer period if:

  • The prospect clearly states that they are not interested in receiving information about Final Expense insurance.
  • The prospect does not have a checking or savings account, and you do not accept alternatives such as Chime or Cash App.
  • The prospect has disqualifying health conditions and you do not offer a Guaranteed Issue plan.

2. Questions to Avoid at the Beginning of the Call

The beginning of the conversation is very important. Asking sensitive or commitment-based questions too early can make the prospect feel uncomfortable and may cause them to end the call.

Please avoid:

  • Asking whether the prospect is ready to make a payment or purchase a policy today.
  • Requesting a Social Security number too early in the conversation.
  • Requesting banking or payment information at the beginning of the call.

We recommend first building trust, explaining the available coverage options, and confirming the prospect’s needs before requesting sensitive information.

3. Quotes and Pricing

Please provide a quote or premium range only when you intend to continue assisting the prospect.

Once a quote, price, or premium range is provided, the call becomes billable, even if it is disconnected during the buffer period.

4. Keep Interested Prospects Engaged

If a prospect remains interested, asks questions, or requests additional information, please continue assisting them.

Ending a call with an engaged prospect can result in a missed sales opportunity. The goal is to educate the prospect, explain the available benefits, and help them find suitable coverage.

5. Abusive Calls

In the rare event that a prospect becomes abusive or uses threatening or inappropriate language, you may disconnect the call during the buffer period without being charged.

Our team makes every reasonable effort to screen prospects before transferring them to your agents.

6. Setting Expectations Professionally

Instead of asking about the prospect’s budget too early, we recommend setting expectations in a more comfortable and professional way.

“You understand that insurance is not free, but my job is to help you find an affordable option that fits your needs and budget.”

This approach helps the prospect understand that the policy has a cost while keeping the conversation positive and focused on finding an appropriate solution.
